History
The Aberdeen Project is a 9-piece band from Indianapolis, Indiana, and is considered to be one of the hottest bands in the city. The band, formed in October 2003 by Jeff and Leslie Randolph, is known for covering various musical genres, ranging from R&B, pop, and reggae, to blues, country, and rock’n’roll. The band also specializes in playing music that has a funk feel to it. The Aberdeen Project also has their own original material that they incorporate into their shows. The band definitely offers something for everyone, and it is their versatility and ability to cater to many different audiences that makes the band the perfect choice for any engagement.
The Aberdeen Project, originally a 7-member unit, started performing in several venues around the Indianapolis area in January 2004. Eventually the band added an extra guitarist and an extra vocalist to complete the current Aberdeen sound.
The band has been going strong ever since, performing at places such as The Indianapolis Arts Garden, the Bella Vita Ristorante, and Bobby Brennan’s Family Pub. The band has also provided live entertainment for special events like the 2004 Diabetes Walk and the 2005 Brickyard 400.
Now entering their fourth year, the future looks very bright for The Aberdeen Project. Their plans include continuing to give their fans the best in live entertainment, reaching as many audiences as possible beyond the Indianapolis area, and the completion of their first CD, scheduled to be released summer 2007.
